Bio:
Constable Kenneth Allen is a dedicated public servant with a long history of leadership, advocacy, and community engagement. He currently serves as Constable of Center Township, bringing a commitment to justice, efficiency, and service to the office.
Kenneth Allen has held numerous leadership roles throughout his career, including former Vice President of the Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS) Board, where he championed educational equity and student success. He also served as Chair of the Indiana Commission on the Social Status of Black Males, advocating for policies that improve economic, educational, and social outcomes for Black men and boys. Additionally, he has contributed to the city’s infrastructure and community development efforts as a former board member for the Department of Public Works and Business and Neighborhood Services.
In recognition of his lifelong commitment to public service and community impact, Constable Allen received the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award from President Joe Biden in 2023. His leadership continues to be rooted in service, accountability, and a deep passion for uplifting the community.
 
 

Process for requesting Move out assistance:
Instructions for Requesting Deputy Constables for a Forced Move-Out/Eviction
If you need Deputy Constables to assist with a forced move-out/eviction, please follow the steps below to ensure a smooth and timely process:

Step 1: Secure a Writ from the Center Township Small Claims Court
- Before requesting assistance, you must obtain a writ of possession from the Center Township Small Claims Court.
- Ensure that the writ has not expired before proceeding with your request.

Step 2: Complete the Online Request Form
- Visit the Center Township Constable's Office website and complete the Eviction Assistance Request Form.
- Be sure to include the following required information:
1) Property Name (if applicable)
2) Property Address
3) Property Manager and/or Landlord Name
4) Contact Number
5) Cause/Case Number
6) Writ Expiration Date

Step 3: Call the Constable’s Office to Schedule the Move-Out
- Once you have completed the form, call the Center Township Constable’s Office at (317) 920-4526 to schedule the eviction.
- Please note that Deputy Constables work part-time, and calls are returned in the order they are received.
