The Honorable Brenda A. Roper

Judge Brenda A. Roper presides at Center Township Small Claims Court of Marion County, Indiana.  The jurisdiction of this court is civil actions involving breach of contract, landlord-tenant disputes, and tort matters of $10,000 or less.

Prior to her election in 2014, Judge Roper was the managing attorney of B. A. Roper and Associates, LLC.  Her areas of practice included consumer bankruptcy, family law and probate law.  She is a graduate of Indiana State University (BS 1989), Indiana University-Bloomington (MA 1991)), and Indiana Wesleyan University (MBA 2006).  Ms. Roper received her jurisprudence (JD 1997) and her Master of Laws (LLM 2011) degrees from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in Indianapolis.

Judge Roper continues to serve as a community volunteer to various organizations throughout the City of Indianapolis.  “YOU ARE YOUR BEST ADVOCATE” remains her motto.
