LaDonna Freeman is the Center Township Trustee as of Jan. 1, 2023. Trustee Freeman has been a lifelong resident of Center Township and has served her community in many capacities.

Before becoming to the Center Township Trustee’s Office, Trustee Freeman served as director of the Marion County Board of Voters Registration for over 27 years. Trustee Freeman oversaw a team that ensured eligible residents could register to vote. Trustee Freeman is a long-time board member of Karen’s Spirit, a local organization working to protect senior citizens in Center Township. She also serves as deputy chief of Women in Motion, an organization working on HIV awareness and prevention in Center Township.

Since taking office, Trustee Freeman has made it her mission to make the office more accessible to residents. She has done so by extending office hours on Tuesdays from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. for walk-ins and by appointment only on the last Saturday of the month from 8 a.m. to noon.

Trustee Freeman is a lifelong resident of Indianapolis, a proud mother of four children, and a grandmother of 10. She is a graduate of Lawrence North High School and attended Ivy Tech.
